Neon Pothos

Epipremnum aureum

If we're going by colors, this is the official Rooted mascot. Low light, low care, and makes spaces pop with its bright neon hue.

This plant ships in a nursery container. See it potted here

Low Maintenance

A ten day surf trip to Bali is still in the cards. Water before leaving and you're jet set.

Any Indirect Light

This plant will do fine in low light levels but grows best in medium or bright filtered light.

Not Pet Friendly

It's not that they don't want to be friends, it's just if your pet eats it they're kinda screwed.

Originating from Southeast Asia, this tropical beaut thrives in jungle-like ecosystems. Pothos are born climbers and can naturally grow on anything, including other plants, buildings, UPS trucks, humans—whatever they can cling onto.

Pothos naturally grow as trailing vines, so if you want them bushier just make sure to trim back the growth. Unlike Philodendrons, Pothos like their soil to dry out between waterings.

Size will vary, but total height is about 10 inches and container width is 4 inches.

How to not kill me

Watering

Water once a week

If that's too hard then we suggest getting a pet rock. When the top inch of soil is bone dry. Droopy leaves is a sign it needs water, while yellowing leaves mean it's getting too much.

Sunlight

Low to Bright Indirect

Almost as adaptable and versatile as Bill Murray, this plant can handle most indoor lighting situations, but definitely prefers it to be on the brighter side. It should never be exposed to direct light.

Humidity

Slays in high humidity

It comes from the tropics so mist it frequently with a spray bottle, or use a humidifier to amp up the moisture in your space. It'll thank you by looking good and staying alive.
