Rubber Tree

Ficus Elastica

If you're looking for a beautiful, low-maintenance, and rubber-producing plant, boy do we have a plant for you.

Low Maintenance

A ten day surf trip to Bali is still in the cards. Water before leaving and you're jet set.

A Good Gift

Low care and adaptable to most indirect light situations. How can they resist?

Not Pet Friendly

It's not that they don't want to be friends, it's just if your pet eats it they're kinda screwed.

  • Planter

The Ficus Elastica, more commonly known as the Rubber plant, is a species belonging to the fig family (Moraceae). They are native to India and can grow up to 50ft+ in the wild. Don't worry, they're more likely to be 3~10ft indoors.

Rubber plants enjoy medium to bright, filtered sunlight. Regular waterings and ample sunlight will result in a happy and fast-growing plant. Avoid drafts and cold rooms.

Size will vary, but total height is around 10 inches and planter width is 6 inches.

How to not kill me

Watering

Water once a week

If that's too hard then we suggest getting a pet rock. Let this one dry out before watering again.

Sunlight

Medium to Bright Indirect

Almost as adaptable and versatile as Bill Murray, this plant can handle most indoor lighting situations, but definitely prefers it to be on the brighter side. It should never be exposed to direct light.

Humidity

Indifferent, like our boy Zeus

Whether you go above and beyond or underperform on maintaining moisture in the air, it won't really care.
