Baby Rubber Plant
Peperomia obtusifoliaProbably the only baby you'll have soon given all your ambitions and dreams. Unlike real babies, this one is easy to care for.
Native to South America, this plant grows in humid forests and lives off nutrients provided from plant debris and the natural tropical environment. Misting this plant regularly will help it thrive.
The more indirect light you can provide, the better. Variegation (marble coloring) means that it has less chlorophyll compared to its green cousins, which is super important in generating energy.
Size will vary, but total height is about 13 inches and planter width is 6 inches.
How to not kill me
Water once a week
If that's too hard then we suggest getting a pet rock. Water when the top two inches of soil is bone dry. Check by fingering your plant. Oh grow up.
Bright and Indirect
Think bright, dappled light that streams through the classiest of sheer JC Penny curtains. The brighter the better, but direct sunlight will burn its leaves. Let's not do that.
Slays in high humidity
It comes from the tropics so mist it frequently with a spray bottle, or use a humidifier to amp up the moisture in your space. It'll thank you by looking good and staying alive.
